At this time I was Head of the Mathematics-Science Department. Sometimes I would stroll down the hall from my third floor office to check for smoking in the boy's restroom. One day I walked in and (would you believe) found two boys, one with his back to me and the other facing him so that he couold see me. The former was smoking and honestly he was demonstrating how he would behave if a teacher came in to avoid being caught smoking. I laughed all the way down to the Dean's Office (Mr Patten's). The boy failed to see the humor in this. Later he did and would chuckle when we met in the hall. I do not remember his name but would like to see him once again and laugh about this memory.
